Salut Stuart, veux-tu ces commentaires, plutôt des questions à dire vrai, directement sur ton mur :D ?

Thanks Stuart and Nolwenn... I very much enjoyed my time in Paris, and hope I can visit again before too long. I'm not quite home yet... I'm in Vancouver for one night, and then I will be able to fly home and sleep in my own bed!

Well, first of all, we always have Paris! Whenever possible, I go to Paris (it means I went twice =P). Now, Im looking for a new reason... And Content Strategy seems to be the ideal ground. Hope I find some promoting flights. By the way, from what I saw, your job is the interesting one.

Profile Information

Where I work (company name and/or location):
ILOG, an IBM Company
My current employment status:
Full time employment
About Me:
Originally from Lancashire, England, I've been living and working in Paris since graduating in 1993 with a BA in European Business studies from the European Business Program, an EU-funded course that involved two years of study at Groupe ESC Bordeaux and two years at the University of Humberside.

I completed a Professional Certificate in Technical Writing at the American University of Paris in 1995 and have since worked as a technical communicator, marketing writer and webmaster for companies of various sizes, including five years as a freelancer.

I'm currently Web Communications Manager for ILOG, a leading French software company that was recently acquired by IBM. Following two and a half years sharing my time between product documentation and intranet teams, I now work full time creating and maintaining content for ILOG’s Internet, intranet, and extranet sites and assist users with publishing and content management tasks. I also provide writing and editorial support for a wide range of other communications projects including newsletters, blogs, presentations, video scripts, and other multimedia content. I'm excited to be joining IBM and getting to know my 380,000+ new colleagues :-)

I've been a member of STC since 1995 and have been part of the leadership team of the STC France Chapter since 2003 where I've previously held the position of Webmaster, Second Vice President, Vice President, President, Immediate Past President, and now Chapter President again.

Social networking in numbers

I just came across this list of random facts about social networking on my company intranet which I thought it might be interesting to share. Just in case you're not yet convinced of the importance of these communication tools!

Note that I tried to cross-check the facts where possible (links provided). The last two claims are a little more difficult to confirm, but certainly seems in line with the conclusions that came out of this year's STC France Chapter Conference.

STC 54th Annual Conference Report

Leaving Las Vegas...

Though Minneapolis lacked the glitzy razzmatazz and scorching temperatures of Las Vegas (home of last year's STC conference), this year's event (which took place May 13-16 2007) was widely acclaimed as the most dynamic and successful STC conference ever. In any case, with
something to see and do at the conference from 7am to 11pm most days,
there wasn't much time left for sightseeing!

New and improved features this year included:
